can i take a bachelors degree in nursing as a major for veterinary medicine?

I am planning to take a four year nursing degree as a major before I continue it to veterinary medicine. I am taking nursing as a fall-back in case I never make it to veterinary school that’s why I chose to take it as my bachelors. Is it possible and/or acceptable??? Please Help!

    You might have trouble meeting the pre-requisites with a nursing major. You would end up taking longer to meet the pre-requisites. I would look at the courses you’ll need for your nursing degree and compare them with the courses required for the vet school you’re wanting to attend. If there isn’t a lot of overlap, you might want to choose something different. It’s my understanding that once accepted to the nursing program, there’s not a lot of flexiblity in your course choices, but I might be wrong.
