Do you have to take nursing prereqs in order to apply for a Bachelor’s degree in nursing?
Dee asked:
Does that mean it takes 6 years to finish a Bachelor’s in nursing?
I know that 4 semesters of nursing prereqs are required in order to apply for an Associate’s degree. But I wasn’t sure if that’s the case for getting a Bachelor’s as well….

I’m pretty sure you have to take the pre reqs in Nursing, also if you go straight it should only take you 4 years to finish your BSN.
Good Luck!!
You have to take prereq for a BSN, you still go 4 years to school.
if you already have your associates then no, but if you are going right to ur BSN, u must do the prereqs.
If you go for ur associates first and do ur prereqs while taking the associates course u can get ur BSN in 4 yrs or less. BUT you could work while u go for your BSN if u get your associates first too. Some colleges offer bridge programs where you can get ur bsn in a year
I have just finished a BSN and I needed the following:
biology w/ lab
2-Anatomy/Physiology w/lab
Chemistry w/lab
Statistics or Research Stats course
Developmental Psych.
Intro to Sociology (at least)
Microbiology w/lab
This can be done in 4 years
